The Joy of Victory and the Agony of Defeat

Disc golf can be so inspiring and humbling.

I ended up finishing 9th (out of 12) today in the Lost Hawg disc golf tournament.

I shot the tournament course record in the first round with a 1017 rated -14 (49) and I shot the worst round in the second round with an 845 rated +7 (70).

I’ve been playing and practicing so much and as much as everything went right in the first round, I imploded and mentally broke myself down in the second round.

I know I have the potential – the record shows that. But I know that I still have a lot of work to do, especially on my mental game – my second round shows that.

We learn as much from failing as we do from succeeding. I won’t stop trying, practicing, learning, and evolving.

Congrats to my buddy Mark on the win and a huge thanks to Chris and Todd for running the tournament and making it happen!
