The Davy Rule – Kickstarter Campaign Profile on International Day of Pink

The second Wednesday in April marks the International Day of Pink, an initiative that seeks to support the work of students, educators, community and business in their efforts to stop bullying, discrimination, homophobia and transphobia.

Rob McLeod and Olyn Ozbick, two Calgarians, are writing a children’s book called The Davy Rule featuring real life frisbee dog Guinness World Record Holder and World Champion Davy Whippet. The book encourages kids to be unique and embrace differences while at the same time teaching them helpful ways to deal with bullying. There are also resources for parents and teachers at the back of the book to help give kids the right foundation in order to deal with bullying from a young age. The book is targeted at children aged 4-6 years old.

The Davy Rule is currently being crowdfunded using Kickstarter. You can back this book and get your own copy at The campaign runs until April 30, 2015.
