Davy and I spent two days in Oyen at Oyen Public School talking about kindness, acceptance, determination and passion to kick off Mental Health Week. I also taught frisbee to all of the students, from Kindergarten to Grade 9 and also ran a frisbee workshop for the 20/30 PE Class at the high school.
After my first day, I wandered around town taking some photos trying out my new camera that was gifted to me for my role with the WFDF since I’ll need to learn the camera + lens for taking photos and videos in London for the World Ultimate & Guts Championships.
I had an amazing time getting to know the kids, teaching them new frisbee skills such as throwing & catching and teaching Bench Catch to the older kids, which they loved!
I also got to have Taco in a Bag for lunch which was a new experience 🙂
