Bittersweet Training Day

Today was a bittersweet day. A few days ago, my favourite uncle passed away and the initial shock wore off today so I was very emotional before training. He was a big supporter and believer of me and I’m so grateful for the time that we got to spend together.

The sweet part was my training and meeting some kids. I finally feel like my throw and technique and timing are all dialed in and I had some big throws!

The kids I met were a group of 5 boys who were watching me the whole time. I ended up giving them an Unplugg’d Mini Flyer and gave them the Unplugg’d challenge with the pomise that I would give a Mini Flyer to whomever completes the challenge. Their moms came over to chat with me as well so I got to tell them more about frisbee, my record attempts, the Unplugg’d challenge and what my school program looks like so hopefully I’ll get to speak at their son’s school!

With two weeks left, I’m feeling great and ready to break my records!
