Rob McLeod Added to Screenagers Event Panel Discussion

On Friday, March 17, the Graduate College of the University of Calgary are co-hosting a screening of the documentary Screenagers at Hillhurst United Church.

The screening will be from 7-9:00pn which will be followed by a panel discussion including two parents, two graduate students and me!

I am so honoured to be included as part of this discussion and I look forward to sharing my experiences, my mission and some of the stories & lessons that I’ve learned in working with kids, challenging them to decrease screen time and speaking to parents about the effects that screen time is having on kids and ways to control that.

I will hopefully get a chance to promote my challenge Unplugg’d, which I think is a great tool for starting conversations with kids about the amount of time they spend on their devices and giving them ideas to do other things.

If you are in Calgary and would rather build brain cells than killing them with green beer, check it out! This is free for anyone to attend and I highly recommend parents and teachers come to this event.
