Frisbee and Unplugging in Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia

Today turned out to be pretty random. What started off as a typical day doing an assembly and frisbee workshops ended with me learning that I was less than a km away from the location of the 1967 Shag Harbour UFO Incident. So I went to the museum, learned the history, bought a few toy aliens, and put together a short video.

If you’re at all interested in history, UFO folklore, or quirky happenings, read all about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shag_Harbour_UFO_incident.

Back to the school – it was awesome. Only about 80 students but I had the chance to teach them what’s possible with frisbee, talked about the value of physical literacy, resiliency, kindness, and getting Unplugg’d. Such beautiful landscape down here 🙂

I’m spending the night at a Bed & Breakfast on Cape Sable Island. I love where my job takes me 🙂
