Learning Frisbee and Building Resiliency at Vermilion Elementary School

Thanks to the generous support of the Vermilion and Area Crisis Line, I spent the day speaking and teaching frisbee to more than 250 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6!

They learned all about the value of physical literacy, resiliency, kindness, and getting unplugg’d.

I taught them what’s possible with frisbee including throwing & catching, disc golf, ultimate, freestyle, creating throws, and inventing games.

Thanks also to EPEC Disc Sports for donating 20 discs to the school’s Phys Ed program!

The Vermilion Crisis Line is committed to:

  • Respecting every caller’s right to explore, discuss and make their own choices

  • Confidential supportive listening.
  • Empowerment.
  • Exploring referrals if appropriate.
