Great start to my road trip!
I spent the day speaking and teaching frisbee to 330 students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 at Walnut Park Elementary in Smithers, BC.
They learned what’s possible with frisbee including throwing & catching, ultimate, disc golf, freestyle, creating throws, and inventing games.
I also spoke about the value of physical literacy, resiliency, kindness, and challenged them to get Unplugg’d.
They are working towards their Healthy Schools certification through Ophea, so it was great to chat with Principal Davey about the value of physical literacy, and I will hopefully help advise their plans to install a disc golf course in Smithers!
