A Frisbee Meet is a multi-event frisbee competition where students try different flying disc events like distance, accuracy, freestyle, self-caught flight, Discathon, and longest catch.

Instead of Throw, Run, Jump you have Throw, Run, Catch. Like a Track & Field Meet but with a frisbee, students compete in different frisbee disciplines. It can be run as a half-day, full-day, or multi-day event depending on your school, schedule, space, and number of students.

How It Works

Students rotate through a series of frisbee events. They can compete individually, with a partner, or as part of a team depending on the format.

Events can be scored, timed, judged, or simply used as fun stations to introduce students to different ways to throw, catch, run, and play with a frisbee.

A Frisbee Meet can be run in a gym, on a field, or across multiple spaces.

Possible Frisbee Meet Events

A Frisbee Meet can include a variety of events depending on the age group, space, equipment, and number of participants.

Distance

Test your power and technique in this thrilling event, where you compete to see who can throw their disc the farthest.

Accuracy

In this challenge, you throw frisbees at targets placed at varying distances to score points.

XDISC Battle

Showcase your best tricks and combos with an XDISC, blending athleticism, imagination, and flair in a battle-style format.

Dodgebee Guts

Two teams take turns throwing a Dodgebee, aiming to score points if the opposing team fails to make a catch.

Self-Caught Flight

Throw and catch your own throw – the farther you go, the higher your score!

Speed Flow

Teams of two pass the frisbee back and forth as many times as possible within one minute.

Discathon

You run through an obstacle course while throwing a frisbee, combining speed and strategy to cross the finish line first.

Longest Catch

One person throws the frisbee as far as possible, and their partner must successfully catch it to score.

Who Is It For?

Frisbee Meet is ideal for schools, especially junior high and high school students.

It can work for:

  • PE classes
  • Leadership classes
  • Intramurals
  • Frisbee clubs
  • School-wide activity days
  • Community youth events

Students do not need frisbee experience to participate.

Flexible Formats

A Frisbee Meet does not need to look the same everywhere. It can be adapted to fit your school, your students, your space, and your schedule.

Half-Day Frisbee Meet

A great option for a smaller group, leadership class, PE class rotation, or introductory event.

Students may rotate through 3–5 stations and get a taste of different frisbee events.

Full-Day Frisbee Meet

A full-day format allows more students to participate, more events to be included, and more time for instruction, practice, competition, and celebration.

This works well for schools that want to create a special event day.

Multi-Day Frisbee Meet

For larger schools or schools that want to build a deeper experience, a Frisbee Meet can run over multiple days.

This could include skill-building sessions, qualifying rounds, finals, team challenges, school records, and a celebration event.

Start With a Frisbee Club

A Frisbee Meet works especially well when paired with a school Frisbee Club. The club gives students a place to practice and learn the different events. The Frisbee Meet gives them something to work toward.
