Be Part of Something Bigger
Frisbee is more than just a game—it’s a way to build confidence, develop skills, and bring people together. I’m on a mission to grow the sport in Calgary and inspire kids to move, play, and discover the joy of throwing, running, and catching.
I can’t do it alone. I need passionate volunteers who want to make a difference, give back, and be part of something fun and meaningful. You don’t need to be an experienced coach or a frisbee expert—just someone who enjoys working with kids, supporting events, and helping to grow a positive community.
Ways to Get Involved
- Frisbee Club in schools (April-May, 1-2 hours per week) – Many schools want to offer frisbee clubs, but they don’t have the staff or expertise to run them. That’s where you come in. Whether leading activities, helping kids learn new throws, or just keeping things organized, you’ll play a big role in giving students a new way to stay active and engaged.
- Hooligans Frisbee Club coach (May-August, 2-4 hours per week) – Help coach frisbee programs for kids and youth during the spring and summer months. This could be through community programs, frisbee camps, or organized practices. If you have experience playing sports or coaching, great! If not, I’ll provide everything you need to feel confident in helping out.
- Volunteer at Tournaments & Events (4-6 hours every other month) – from frisbee tournaments to world record attempts to charity events, I need volunteers to help with setup, organization, scorekeeping, and general event support. These events are a great way to experience the excitement of frisbee, meet like-minded people, and contribute to something special.
Who Should Apply?
I’m looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers in Calgary and surrounding areas who:
- Enjoy working with kids or youth
- Have an interest in coaching, teaching, or mentoring
- Want to support events and help grow frisbee in the community
- Are reliable and can commit to at least one volunteer role
No frisbee experience required! If you’re willing to learn and help out, I’ll make sure you have everything you need.
