Due to a snow day on Tuesday, I ended up spending Wednesday at two schools in Saint John, NB – Saint Rose in the morning and Loch Lomond in the afternoon.
Saint Rose had me in for a full school assembly and frisbee demo to around 260 students followed by 3 frisbee workshops. I had smaller groups than I’m used to for the workshops which meant more individual time, and more opportunity for the kids to throw and play games. Their favourite game was Frisbee Battle Royale for sure!
In the afternoon, I headed to Loch Lomond for a full school assembly and frisbee demo to around 325 students.
At both schools, I spoke to the kids about the value of trying new things, specifically multi-sport and multi-activity participation. I also challenged them to get Unplugg’d, spending less time in front of a screen, and more time reading, playing outside, and with friends & family. I finished each frisbee demo with a frisbee trickshot, reinforcing my message of resiliency and learning from failure.
The trick shot at Saint Rose School took 38 attempts to make – great demonstration of my message about resiliency and learning from failure!
Find out more about my program and book me to have me speak and demo at your school, organization, or your event!
