My on ice training session today was all about the mix between throwing to yourself and throwing with someone. I had some great training throws and I also had a lot of fun playing catch with friends. My first ice training day was Boxing Day at Bowness Lagoon in Calgary, Alberta which is the only ice surface large enough for me to practice training for the 2017 Silver Skate Festival where I will be attempting to break my 3 Guinness World Records and World Flying Disc Federation World Records for Self Caught Flight on Ice Skates.
On February 11, 2017 Rob McLeod will attempt to break 3 Guinness World Records for Self-Caught Flight on Ice Skates at the Silver Skate Festival in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at Hawrelak Park. Rob currently holds these 3 records which he has set at previous Silver Skate Festivals (2013 & 2015).
