Join the Frisbee Movement in Calgary – We Need You!

Are you looking for a way to give back, stay active, and be part of something meaningful?

I’m building several programs in Calgary including Frisbee Club, Frisbee Meet, and the Hooligans Frisbee Club, and I need volunteers to help grow the sport and inspire the next generation. You don’t need to be a frisbee pro—just someone who enjoys working with kids, building community, and having fun.

Frisbee Club is a fun, low-pressure way for students to learn, play, and grow through frisbee. Open to all skill levels, these clubs run in schools and give kids a chance to explore different flying disc games, develop throwing and catching skills, and build teamwork. Whether they’re trying frisbee for the first time or looking to improve, Frisbee Club helps students stay active, gain confidence, and discover the joy of play.

Frisbee Meet is an inclusive community event where anyone can come out, throw, run, and catch while exploring a variety of frisbee sports and games. Whether you’re into disc golf, freestyle, ultimate, or just tossing a frisbee for fun, Frisbee Meet is a welcoming space to connect, learn new skills, and be part of a growing frisbee movement. No experience needed—just bring your energy and a willingness to play.

Hooligans Frisbee Club is Calgary’s first youth ultimate frisbee program, designed to develop skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. Founded by Frisbee Rob and Elliot Negelev, the club focuses on player growth over competition, giving kids the tools to improve, build confidence, and enjoy the game. More than just a team, Hooligans fosters a family-like culture where players support each other on and off the field.

Ways You Can Help:

  • Frisbee Club in schools – April/May (1-2 hours per week)
  • Hooligans Frisbee Club coach – May-August (2-4 hours per week)
  • Volunteer at Events – Frisbee Meet, Hooligans’ tournaments, world record attempts, and charity events (4-6 hours every other month)

This is your chance to be part of something bigger, create lasting memories, and help kids discover the joy of frisbee. Whether you’re a teacher, athlete, parent, or just someone who wants to make a difference, we’d love to have you.
